The black guard Telecaster, aside from the bad/cold solder joints, had the following proglems:

– The ground wire to the bride was wired to the switch.

– The hot lead from the bridge pickup was wired to ground and the ground lead to the switch.

– The treble bleed was missing its 150k resistor.

It went from this:

The Bigsby Telecaster had a wiring kit from acme installed. The kit comes with pin connectors for the pickups which don’t hold very well. Those were removed and instead the pickups where hard wired. But again, the problems were the same as the guitar above with just one extra problem. The Dimarzio neck pickup had isolated the cover which wasn’t grounded.
